Profile
The Huisache (pronounced wee sach) Creek Singers is a family drum. We are a Southern Style Lipan Apache Drum that originated in 1971. The songs that we sing are written primarily by Robert Soto and some by Ruben Soto. The songs are inter-tribal songs written in our native Lipan Apache Language. We have been blessed with the opportunities to be host d rum at various pow wows in the deep South Texas Region. Our drum consists of the Soto Family who are Lipan Apache; Carrie Felps - Blackfeet; Homer & Chris Hinojosa - Mescalero Apache, Blackfoot, Cherokee; Phillip Batres - Kikapoo/Lipan Apache; and Mando Lucio - Apache. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to share our songs with you.
