Proper protocol in any event should be to stop all activity until the person who has been injured or has fallen is assisted to a safe location where medical attention may be administered, including any immediate attention in the arena until the injured party can be transported safely.

Then it is up to the MC to re-start the dance when the MC feels it is appropriate.

This protocol should be done regardless of an injury disclaimer clause on the registration form, since the disclaimer is there to protect the pow wow committee from lawsuits pertaining to injury.
