Tsiniti is on a distinguished road
Owls are considered Bad Medicine by many different Tribes, and at many Pow Wows if they see even Owl Jewelery they will leave the Pow Wow! Let alone Owl feathers or especially parts.

I was told after the fact, that my daughter's Birthday cake to be delivered to a Pow Wow was going to have the Harry Potter Owl on it. Oh boy did I sweat that one, but luck was with us, and the lady couldn't find her pattern so sent one with butterflies instead. If the owl had shown up, many people would have left.

One more tidbit to think about. Owl feathers and parts are considered illegal to own.

I would advise your friend not to use them.

My Great Grandmother, respected the owls, and called them messengers of life as well as death, it is up to us to learn the language and know the difference, it wasn't until I was an adult that I learned the Cherokee are highly superstitious about them and consider them more than just bad medicine. Personally I don't feel that way about them, but the ones we have around here do give ya the creeps! :Scared
