This is a really great powwow Scott.
I've been to the one's in 96, 99, 2002 plus planning on going in 2005.
The host drums are usually out of OK and ND/SD.
Most of the vendors there cater to dancers.
Grand Entries can take some time due to the number of dancers.
Lots of onsite food.
Tipi villiage with competition, usually there's over 20 to 25 tipi's there.
Lots of onsite camping, plus showers and REAL flush commodes.
The size of the public crowd isn't all that big.
The Ponca Nuda Hunga usually hosts a couple of Hethuska's plus there's Gourd Dancing before each dance session.
A great craft competition.
There's lots of hobs (who know their stuff) and indians but not many yahoos, hokies or twinkies.
If you and the family can make the trip, it's worth it.
