I don't know that you can eat tofu raw.
All the stuff I've eaten was cubed after it was boiled, or grilled, or had some kind of cooking method applied to it.
It's just basically soy beans, or it a soy derivative. It's pretty good, depending on how you have it prepared and how your fixing it up.
It's bland, but, you can change all that with some seasonings, or by mixing it in with other stuff.
You can also deep fry it, or batter it and fry it.
Or slice it up really thinly and boil it. There's a type of tofu that is really thin, like in sheets, you typically find that used in various types of Japanese soups.
Then there's like this fermented tofu stuff that you might want to try. Tofu is an Oriental thing, if I'm not mistaken, or at least, it was invented by them.
It's a good meat substitute.....sort of.
