I personally do use Norton myself, however, That alternitive was a decent Free Antivirus with reliable updates (From what I've tested and seen). Simply for someone who doesn't get into warez, or dont have the money too afford Nortons horrific price.
Mcaffee was used by me for awhile, but I didn't like it too much. It was so air tight, I couldn't send or receive files via AIM/Paltalk/etc.
Ad-aware hasn't given me much of a problem. I test a whole lot of programs out, and help find good and bad software for a few Juggalo sites to help people out, so I get massive amounts of spyware each search (Last being like 960 spyware files detected and erased) which is why it comes in handy for me.
:D
