I regularly go to powwows in oklahoma and almost all of them are outdoor events. I can think of 7 off the top of my head that have always been outdoors and will probably always be outdoors: Copan, Quapaw, Stroud, otoe,Skiatook, Ponca and StandingBear. There was alot of rain last year that forced some powwows to find indoor locations but that's not the norm. I can only think of 3 that are indoors: Red Earth (always been indoors), IICOT and Tulsa (recently moved indoors).
I know what you mean
We tent camped at a few last year but camped in a popup at Shawnee (Sept) and Comanche Fair (Sep) and got really spoiled!
Damn I love camping
