  1. Greetings,
My daughter is 7 years old and she is a traditional and jiggle dancer and our elder brought her into the circle when she was 3 years old. Our elder has a drum group to as well. My husband and I want our daughter to have the experience of Gathering Nations Pow Wow this coming year. WE are going start fundraising to be there for our girl. Could you tell me about all the costs while we were there, so it would give me an idea how much I need to fundraising for my girl and the drum group so we can get the experience being there.

The prices are normally on the website. “http://www.gatheringofnations.com” This year may be different because the event will be at the New Mexico Expo which is at the State Fair Grounds. If you are planning on going to the Gatherings there is Free parking at the Mall which is not that far however you do need to take the city transit to the State Fair Grounds.

There is also a Casino right there however I’m sure they will raise their price on food also so the best place to eat is anywhere on Central. Of your a vegetarian or vegan the cheapest produce to get in Albuquerque is at the Spanish store called “El Super” It is located at Central & Atrisco.. Let me know what you like to eat maybe I can suggest some places for you here in Albuquerque.

I am an apache/yaqui. My name is Frank wild cat (Naashdoitsoh). I am a 22 year air force veteran. I actively participate in many activities pertaining to my culture and traditions. I have my own drum, sacred pipe, eagle feather, eagle bone whistle. I sing many old songs from my ancestors, and do ceremonies, the reason I’m writing is to ask permission to partcipate in your grand entry and march in with honor as a warrior and a veteran. Please acknowledge my request and guide me on the steps I need to participate if granted permission. Aho!! Thanks

  3. Greetings…. whether I’m there or not I will be there in spirit I hope to be there in person along with my husband from the Kansas City area

Hi my name is Marsha, I’m from the Mono and Miwok tribes out here in California and I really miss going to GON I remember going with family and friends like a whole LOT, dancing in the pit was hot because of all of the lights but I didn’t complain about it because I was enjoying myself being their with all the different nations, it was amazing. I also remember when my grandma had went and they had wished her a Happy Birthday I believe she was 97 years old at the time, May she rest in peace now.

Yi”d like to know where I can find information on Chocktaw events, records and Pow woos. I appreciate all y help u give to others. My grandmother was full blooded Chocktaw and have found very little info. She ran away from reservation when she was 14 and passed herself off as white andarrived 5 white men as she traveled the country. She could pass herself off as white as long as she stayed out of sun. All her husbands died of stomach problems. She never talked about her past and I’d love to find out as much as I can. I think she was a black widow. Love going to pow woos. THANKS. [email protected] April Lawson. Trying to send u a picture.

Good Morning to all people who will be in Albuquerque, NM for the Gathering of Nations We’ll I have coupons you can use while you are visiting here. They are from McDonalds. Redrobin’s is also having deals so have fun.

  8. how do i get a copy or access to all three days of Gatherings so I can watch from start to finish?

  9. I’m not familiar with my Tribal name. My inner spirit says it has to do with Wolves.
I have an affinity for avoiding Wolf Traps a name reminiscent of the DC Amphitheater.

    Thanks for your concern
