eBay Find of the Week – Early 1900’s Plateau Cloth Beaded Dress

Traditional Early 1900’s Plateau Cloth Beaded Dress with many Shells front and back with Full Beaded Hide Belt. The Belt and Dress were together when purchased. Size is Medium-Large (probably a little more on the large size). Total length is 47″, width at the bottom is 38″ , and width at the top is 39″. Dress is Green Tradecloth wool with upper trimmed in red trade cloth (area bordering the neck also trimmed in this red trade cloth). Shells are attached by hide. Satin like cloth strip on the inside of the Red cloth all the way around the top area and down the sides. Base bead color is nice Light Blue Small beads. Triangular beaded area at the upper front is geometric design in colors of Red, Dark Blue and Yellow outlined in the same nice Light Blue Beads. Also some metallic sequins just outside the red trade cloth borders. Lazy stitch beading. Sewn with thread. Shells are held on by hide with hide straps holding them in even line. Beadwork in very good condition with no missing or damaged beads. Cloth also in good condition (see photos) Belt has geometric design on Hide. Length is 61″ ad the hide drops hand down from the belt. Drops have some Tacks. Light Blue Beaded border with design patterns in colors of Pink, Green, Yellow, Red and Dark Blue. Beadwork in good condition with lazy stitch beading. The Drops are missing a few tacks (see photos). Overall condition is good. Great pair and together as they were meant to be..Delivery confirmation is included with shipping costs.
