11 Exquisite Images from Native Oklahoma

You might remember a post a few months back about a New York based photographer who was working with the Shinnecock Nation. He was taking beautiful pictures for their community and wanted to visit some others around the nation. We're happy to report back that Bryan Downey did indeed make good on his promise and recently visited with some Cherokee and Pawnee members in Oklahoma.

Please enjoy just a small sampling of the beautiful images he captured! Make sure you click on the first image so you can view the bigger image!

Beautiful images right? He has reached out to Cherokee, Navajo and Pawnee Nations, looking for permission and their blessing to photograph people in the community. Are you interested in being photographed? Bryan does not charge to take the photos, and all photos will be released to the tribe and subjects for their own use. He is willing to travel to your community at any time, so don't be shy!

If anyone out there would like to reach out to Bryan and be photographed, please contact him via email at [email protected] or phone at 516-768-5974.
